The story of Martins dates back to 1973 in a small garage of Dennis Martin in Myerstown, PA. Dennis became well-known in his local community for being the go-to neighborhood guy when someone needed something fixed. Dennis’s reputation grew to the point where the first Martins store officially opened in 1979 on route 422 in Myerstown.
Dennis knew one thing he had to do to succeed: find employees whose character and skill would help them exceed at Martins. After hiring some outstanding employees, Martins found great success and allowed them to expand to other cities like Cleona, Reading, Quarryville, Ephrata, and Brownstown.
Over 40 years later, Martins now has over 350 extraordinary employees, but not much has changed at its core. Dennis and his family still oversee the business and still run the business based on the same mission statement. Glorify Christ and leave a positive impact on as many people as we can.
